Kaolin Manufacturing Process and Plant

Kaolin is a kind of common non-metallic ore which is widely used in the production of ceramic, refractory materials, rubber, plastics, leather, chemical industry, etc. And along with the further improved of kaolin mineral processing technology, the application of kaolin materials will be increasing.

In kaolin manufacturing production line, there are mainly several steps involved as following:

1. Kaolin crushing process: many different crushing plant applied to crush the raw materials into small pieces, such as jaw crusher, impact crusher, cone crusher, mobile crusher.

2. Kaolin powder grinding porcess: various types of grinding mill will be used in this operation, and further reduce the kaolin material into fine powder, and prepare for further processing. The popular grinding mill includes ball mill, high pressure mill, trapezium mill, ultrafine mill etc.

3. Kaolin rotary kiln, in this process to burning super fine kaolin which used for many other industries.

Kaolin Mining Equipment

Most domestic clay is mined by open-pit methods using various types of equipment, including draglines, power shovels, front-end loaders, backhoes, scrap. A higher percentage of fire clay is mined underground than other clays, because the higher quality fire clay deposits are found at depths that make open-pit mining less profitable

With know-how technology, SBM provide complete series of kaoline processing and mining equipment for sale, and customize cutting edge and cost-effective mining solution for customers.

Kaolin Processing Plant

Clays usually are transported by truck from the mine to the processing plants, many of which are located at or near the mine. For most applications, clays are processed by mechanical methods, such as crushing, grinding, and screening, that do not appreciably alter the chemical or mineralogical properties of the material.

However, because clays are used in such a wide range of applications, it is often necessary to use other mechanical and chemical processes, such as drying, calcining, bleaching, blunging, and extruding to prepare the material for use.
